Grant agreement signed for forest landscape restoration in Ethiopia

The Norwegian Embassy in Addis Ababa and the Norwegian Forestry Group (NFG) have signed a grant agreement for the implementation of the Forest Landscape Restoration Programme in the Amhara regional state of Ethiopia.

The Grant Agreement was signed during a ceremony held at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Addis Ababa on 22 November 2017.

The Government of Norway has committed NOK 51 million (6 mill USD) for supporting the implementation of the Forest Landscape Restoration Programme until 2020.

NFG will implement the programme in close collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of Ethiopia, authorities of the Amhara regional state and other local and international partners.
